What subject/issue would you like to see addressed in our next documentary on going green?
Arnold Creek Productions asked:
Arnold Creek Productions produces educational videos on sustainability and going green. We also have established two free online video collections at www.arnoldcreekproductions.com featuring video shorts of experts/leaders and a multimedia presentation on the greening of higher education. Now we’re looking for new ideas for topics for our next feature length educational DVD on going green. What are your ideas? What documentary hasn’t been produced that you’re dying to see?

I would like to see a documentary on the politics of green. Not just the history of Al Gore’s struggle to bring attention to the environment, start from at least Teddy Roosevelt. I want to know how we got where we are now. How did politics and wars over the twentieth centure make us more or less green? The impact of Democracy, Communism and the Third World Political situations? How has the rise or radical Islam and terrorism impacted the environment? I want to know how the power of business leaders influenced our politicians for better or worse? I want to know who have been the best green advocates in politics, worldwide, how well they succeeded, and who has done the most harm by their political policies. The documentary should be balanced but inform the voter for 2008. I hope you make this one.
Any of the following:
> At what temperature will Oceans release their Methane?
> How long before Ocean levels to increase one foot?
> If we change nothing, how soon will the summer average highest ambient temperature increase by ten degrees F (at the poles, equator and half in between)?
How about the truth this time? Wouldn’t that be cooky?
What we personally can do in terms of local things. Possibly specific information about recycling and cars.
I would like to see all the deforesetation that everyone has caused throughout the world I know that’s vague but I would like everyone to see what they’ve done to the only earth that we call home and with otu it we would be here, now would we?

How about looking at where the money for enviro studies comes from and where it goes. Are the results of eco-research twisted to conform with the contributor’s agenda? AND, let us know where your money is coming from to produce your movie. I’d feel better about that.
How ’bout this….how ’bout you talk about how much cleaner the environment is today than it was, say 50 years ago? OR THIS…. how many businesses have gone bankrupt, sold out, etc., (causing people to lose their jobs, economic mayhem, etc.) trying to comply with environmental regulations?
Do something different, get away from the tired old “sky is falling” stuff.
You know, things were so much simpler 50 years ago!!! no plastic to get rid of; babies wore cloth diapers; food was actually cooked, not nuked; prayers were allowed in schools; we played games(like Parcheesi or cards) with our family instead of each one going to their own room to play on computer or listen to IPOD! Food tasted a whole lot better; people were proud of their accomplishments; and a dollar actually bought something. You call this PROGRESS??? How about a documentary on that!!!
