Filming Interview Documentaries?

NovoKane asked:

I’m taking a documentary production class, and we haven’t covered documentaries that involve interviews. Should I ask questions at different locations? What kind of angles should I film? Should I also be my own camera operator? Should I use a tripod? I would like to know everything that you can tell me, even if it is not one of my questions. Thanks.

Was Japan close on our heels in the production of an atomic bomb? (If not, explain why it is reported that?

charly asked:

they exploded one, resulting from their research at Hungdam, Korea, but totally covered up by our government.)

All traces of the facility were destroyed, so there’d be no evidence left.

I saw this report very recently as a documentary, but I can’t remember which one. (This is said so that some will not say that I conjured this up).

Did anyone else see the documentary??

I’d like to know if the whole program was a hoax…

Hey texans, where is the house from the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Is it still standing?

Steph asked:

I realize the movie is fictional. I am wondering where that house from the remake is located and if it is still standing since production wrap-up. In the remake documentary the director says that they found that house exactly the way it was and had to add little in the way of props.

The best camera for filmaking and documentaries?

VITORFIEL asked:

Hi, I’m planing to buy a camera for independent productions (documentaries & movies), that I’ll be able to use for a while and with a “cinema” look. I rather a low budget camera. So far I’m between PANASONIC AGHVX200 and CANON XL2, but if anyone could recommend me some other or even help with those two, I would appreciate.

I have to make a 4-5 minute documentary. Any good ideas? Thanks?

phowells88 asked:

For my video production class, I have to make a 4-5 minute documentary. The topic can be anything. Any good ideas? I think it would be best if it was something that involved information that can be found locally (I’m in college and don’t have the resources to go nation- or world-wide to find information and conduct interviews), so any simple, generalized subjects would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
